Privacy policy

Last updated: October 31, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Osmose Presenter, OSMOSE+, the osmosechurch.com website and “My account” collect, why, and your rights. It complies with Québec’s Law 25 and Canadian law (PIPEDA).

Person in charge of personal information

The founder of Osmose, in charge of protecting personal information: support@osmosechurch.com. Write to them for any question or request for access, correction or deletion.

Free version: nothing leaves your computer

Osmose Presenter (free) has no account. Your services, songs, media and settings stay on your computer. To check for updates, the software contacts GitHub, which then sees your IP address, as with any web page. No usage data is sent.

What we collect with OSMOSE+ and “My account”

• Account: your e-mail address, display name, role in the church and the date of your last sign-in.

• Church: its name and, if you provide them, its address, phone, website and billing e-mails.

• Computers: the name of each connected computer (for example “BOOTH-PC”), who uses it and when it last connected, so the administrator can block one.

• Church content: services, songs, themes, announcements, presentations, media (videos, images) and their folders, to sync them between your computers.

• Subscription: the subscription status and the Stripe customer and subscription IDs. Your card is handled by Stripe; we never see it.

• Genesis: when you ask a question, the open service plan, your song library titles and your conversation are sent to get the answer. We count questions per church per day, without keeping the conversations.

Why

Only to run the service: signing you in, syncing the church, managing the team and security, billing the subscription and answering your requests. We do not sell your information and we do not advertise.

Our providers

These companies process information for us, only for the service:

• Supabase: accounts, database and church files, hosted in the United States (Virginia).

• Brevo: sending sign-in e-mails (codes).

• Stripe: subscription payment and invoices.

• Anthropic: answers of the Genesis assistant (United States). Anthropic does not use these exchanges to train its models.

• GitHub: software and update downloads.

• Framer: website hosting.

Some of these providers are outside Québec. Before entrusting them with information, we assessed that they protect it adequately.

Retention

We keep your information as long as your account or the church’s subscription exists. After a subscription ends, the church’s online data is kept for 90 days, then may be deleted. Invoices are kept as long as tax law requires.

Security

Traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Each church only sees its own data: the server checks everyone’s role. Sign-in is required again every 3 days, and an administrator can block a lost computer. In case of a privacy incident with a serious risk, we will notify the people concerned and Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.

Cookies

The website and “My account” use no advertising cookies. “My account” keeps your session in your browser so you stay signed in.

Your rights

You can request access to your information, its correction, its deletion or a copy in a common format, and withdraw your consent. Write to the person above; we answer within 30 days. You can also file a complaint with Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.

Changes

The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. Any significant change will be announced to you.
